Our Committee
The committee currently comprises 7 members, all of whom fly actively as well as being involved in organisation and decision making. Active commitment to the promotion and success of the club is not limited to this small group, and input from any of our members is welcome.

David
Barnes David started flying in 1999 at the GHFC and has a PPL with Night rating. He parted company with his beloved Cessna 172 ZS-CML and is currently between planes. David works for a yacht repair company called Action Yachting and enjoys flying, sailing and cycling in his spare time. Unfortunately he doesn't have a Harley, a comm licence or a wine farm, but manages to get by. |

Alexia
Michaelides Alexia has been flying since 2001. Her day job is Transplant Manager for Christian Barnard Memorial Hospital and she is also the Flight Coordinator for the Organ Donor Foundation. She is generally friendly and approachable until you mention her age. |

Martin
Heneck Martin started flying at the Cape Aero Club and shortly after attaining his PPL in 1973 took a brief sabbatical from flying until 2006. |

Vossie
Vosloo Vossie started his flying career in 1978. He joined Good Hope Flying Club in 1996 and has been on the committee since 2003. During the week he is in the Wine, Spirits and RTD industry (Production and Bottling Manager for Distell) |

Tiana
Boyd Tiana is an editor (The Barter Bulletin), journalist and recently passed her Comm. She enjoys windsurfing, tennis, French cooking and flying. She also trained at the Aero Club du Bas Armagnac in France and glides in the Pegase. |

Neel
Jethwa Neel started flying in 1993 as an RAF Air Cadet. By 18 he had his PPL and pursued his passion for aviation by becoming a pilot with the Royal Air Force where he flew the Beech Super King Air 200 and later the Nimrod MR2. He has a JAA fATPL, a SA CPL and is currently taking the steps to become a Flying Instructor. Neel also enjoys SCUBA Diving and is a volunteer at the Two Oceans Aquarium. |

Jim Deane TrusteeJim is a past chairman of the Good Hope Flying club. He has a passion for flying both fixed wing aircraft & helicopters and has an aerobatic rating which he regularly uses. Born in England, Jim has spent his working life designing and implementing Computer Systems for the Financial Services industry, founding a UK based Software Supplier, Marlborough Stirling – the company that brought him to South Africa. |

Rafi
Weiner Rafi started flying with Good Hope Flying Club in early 2002. He is married to Debbie and they have two boys, Benji and Robbie. Rafi also has an adopted child named ZS-PMY. During the week he is in partnership in a busy legal practice in Cape Town but manages to squeeze in time for all his other interests and hobbies which include flying, playing cards, maintaining Classic MG's and low flying on his Harley. |
